Since 2016, the Forum for Socialising, Information and Intergenerational Exchange has been held at the end of September each year at the Basel Market Hall. Over 40 organisations present a colourful mix of topics such as health, lifelong learning, housing and leisure activities.

Pro Senectute of both Basel cantons – together with the Canton of Basel-Stadt, GGG Benevol and the Swiss Red Cross Basel-Stadt – is the organiser of this information platform.

Since its foundation in 1984, artlink has been supporting the work and performances of artists and cultural practitioners in Switzerland and around the world.

Pro Senectute in both Basel cantons is supporting the interdisciplinary art project ‘Solo-Alone-in Solitude’, which explores the theme of loneliness. As part of the project, a wide variety of adults are working alongside artists in the workshops. In addition, two school classes are taking part as part of a project week. At the end of September, the results of all the activities will be presented over three days in an interactive art installation featuring audio stations at the Kaserne Basel.
