Pro Senectute Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft is the region’s leading specialist organisation and point of contact for issues relating to older people. We offer older people a wide range of services in the areas of advice, education, sport and support. We are looking for an empathetic and professionally competent individual who, as part of our team, will help to positively shape the lives of older people.
In our Trusts department, we support people from the time they reach the AHV reference age in managing their financial and administrative affairs. The focus is on providing personalised support to the older people in our care.
The role is based in Basel, starting on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
Your responsibilities
- Providing personalised support through direct contact (client management)
- Individual support with monthly payments
- Claiming and monitoring refunds
- Administrative assistance with correspondence and processing of post
- Applying for potential benefits (pensions/AHV/EL/HE etc.) and reviewing existing benefits
- Completing tax returns Documenting and recording benefits in the case management system
What you’ll bring to the role
- Empathy, good interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of direct contact with older people
- Knowledge of health and social security law would be an advantage (training will be provided)
- A respectful and professional approach to dealing with people and organisations
- Basic commercial training; candidates switching careers from an administrative role are particularly welcome
- An efficient approach to work and a head for figures (the focus of the role is on administrative tasks)
- Ability to work independently, along with organisational and administrative skills
- A clean criminal record and no entries in the debt collection register
- Category B driving licence
